

The Nobles County
Auditor-Treasurer's office provides services and responsibilities as follows:
· Investments of County funds and interest collections.
· All receipt collections.
· Issues warrants against all County funds.
· Monthly financial reports.
· Year end financial reports and 1099's.
· Assists in annual audit.
· County payroll preparation.
· Register of Bonds.
· Assists with County Budget.
· Filing of all legal plats.
· Filing of all deeds and mortgages.
· Maintain records of all property owners.
·
Certification of tax levies
for taxing districts.
· Calculate tax capacity rates, credits and net property taxes.
· Specials assessments.
· Transmission and Distribution Line Taxes.
· Maintain ditch fund assessments.
· Tax increment financing.
· Collection of current and delinquent property taxes.
· Minnesota property tax refunds.
· Distribution of taxes to taxing districts.
· Tax forfeiture proceedings.
· Member of County Board of Equalization.
· Motor vehicle registration.
· Drivers licenses, permits and ID cards.
· DNR registrations of boats, snowmobiles and off road
vehicles.
· Game & Fish license agent.
· Voter registration record keeping.
· Prepare ballots for use in all elections in 40 county election
precincts.
· Secure and distribute to all precincts, supplies and equipment
required.
· Hold training session before each election for municipal and
township clerks and election judges.
· Handling of all absentee ballot requests and voting procedures.
· Receive and tabulate results of elections and file these results
with the Secretary of State.
· Member of County Canvassing Board to check tabulations.
· Assurance of election certificates to qualified election winners.
